March 21, Rocklin, CA - John Jacobson leads in votes cast at the California District 2 pre-endorsement Conference. Democratic leaders from throughout northern California's District 2 met in Rocklin to determine who they will recommend for endorsement at the State Democratic Convention in San Jose on March 28-30. A high bar is set, with 70% of participants required to recommend an endorsement, a percentage difficult to achieve in the competitive race among three Democrats vying for the nomination to run against Wally Herger in the fall. "I am proud and gratified to have received nearly twice the votes cast for either of my opponents," said candidate, John Jacobson. "I want to thank my supporters among Democratic leaders throughout our district for their hard work, and to let them know that their personal commitment to my campaign means a great deal to me. A party endorsement would have been wonderful, but with their help throughout our district, I know we can take this win to a victory on June 3rd."
